Srinagar, Oct 09 (KNO): Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) Chief Spokesperson Inam Un Nabi Thursday accused the National Conference (NC) of playing a “two-faced political theatre” ahead of the Budgam by-polls.
He said the NC leadership has made deceit a political craft.
“In the coming days, people will see NC suddenly fighting paper battles with BJP only to gain sympathy before the polls. This is their old script: act like victims, partner like opportunists. The reality is NC and BJP are political cousins, one rules from Delhi, the other manipulates from Srinagar,” AIP spokesperson said in a statement issued to news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO).
He criticized Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, saying, “During assembly elections, Omar Abdullah promised the people of Budgam that if they gave him more votes than Ganderbal, he would retain their seat and become their voice. The people trusted him, but with a long history of betrayal, Omar Abdullah stayed true only to one thing—his instinct to deceive. He abandoned Budgam the moment it suited his convenience".
Inam Un Nabi added, “The people of Budgam are fully aware of NC’s opportunistic game plan. The National Conference has begun its drama of pretending to fight the BJP, but everyone knows they are partners in pretense and allies in arrogance. The people of Budgam will not be fooled this time. They will reject NC’s deceit, dynastic politics and hollow theatrics once and for all.”—(KNO)
